Senior Estimator

Responsibilities:

Senior Estimator shall be responsible for:

Perform quantity takeoffs
Review plans and specifications
Solicit subcontractor quotes
Attend pre-bid meetings
Conduct site investigations
Determine equipment crew production rates
Prepare bid proposals
Present bid proposals to owner & engineer
Act as the contact between contractor & owner/engineer during bidding phase
Conduct bid reviews
Conduct job handoff to project superintendent and project manager
Assist in business development and marketing

Candidate Profile:

Requirements:

Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
Ability to read and interpret job cost reports
Strong background with MS Office products
Bachelor degree in civil engineering or construction management
Excellent written and oral communications skills
Experience/training with Hard Dollar or equivalent estimating software
Good understanding of equipment planning and construction methods
