Operations Tune-Up - Process
Operations Tune-Ups are accomplished in a four phase process:
| Phase 1: Discover construction management issues and their causes |

In Phase 1, Grantlun and your staff use Grantlun's Business Planning Tools to collect operating data, chart your organization and map current practices in the subject areas. Once mapped, current practices are compared to best practices to discover gaps. Gaps are then reported to you in the form of a Findings Report that identifies what needs to be changed or implemented to significantly decrease cost and/or increase profitability. |

| Phase 2: Design a Solution |
 |
In Phase 2, Grantlun collaborates with you to establish a practicable action plan to close the gaps identified in Phase 1 – a plan that is based on the time, skills and resources that you can realistically employ. With that action plan in mind, Grantlun then builds a detailed schedule of the tune-up activities, including their estimated duration, sequence, and attendant resource assignments. That schedule is then presented to you for approval. |

| Phase 3: Develop the Solution |
 |
In phase 3, Grantlun and your staff execute the action plan to develop the necessary gap solutions. This phase typically involves the collaborative development of process and procedure manuals, computer hardware and software procurement and installation, and the like. |

| Phase 4: Deploy the Solution |
 |
In Phase 4, Grantlun assists your staff in the deployment of the gap solutions. This phase typically involves training in the areas of estimating and bidding practices, equipment cost management practices, contract administration practices, and, of course, the implementation of all solutions developed in phase 3. |
